Wiriiyn was proud to work alongside Gadigal Information Service to deliver the communications & livestreaming for the Yabun Festival 2024 — Australia’s largest one-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

As a flagship event held annually on January 26 at Victoria Park, Yabun is a space of resistance, resilience, and cultural pride. In 2024, Wiriiyn led a multi-platform communications campaign that helped elevate the voices of community and deepen engagement with audiences across the country.

Our scope included social media strategy and content rollout, media liaison, press release development, and the coordination of sponsor messaging across channels. We also supported the complete redesign and management of the Yabun website to ensure an intuitive, mobile-friendly experience that reflected the strength and cultural significance of the event, as well as designed the collateral for the event from the 2024 art work.

On the day, our team provided full livestreaming services, delivering seamless coverage of the main stage performances, interviews, and key moments to thousands of viewers tuning in online. This ensured that people from across the nation could be part of the day’s energy, no matter where they were.
